P1 and 2 have been reading the story of the Little Red Hen and retelling in the form of a puppet show

Primary 2 are sorting the attribute people in different ways.
Primary 2 are developing their thinking skills by playing the one difference game
Here we are developing our concept of creating repeating patterns by making necklaces from different colours of straw
The best part is that you get to wear them afterwards!
Fantastic job! You used the pattern to make Elmer.
We used the interactive whiteboard to create patterns as well as designing printed patterns. We also practised following instructions to make Elmer the Elephant.
P.2 show that they know the difference between a number, letter, word and sentence.
Primary 1 are learning how to form their letters in a fun way!
Primary One have been learning about number sequence by jumping up and down the number line.
Of course we also like joining in with number rhymes and songs.

P1 and 2 had a visit from Genevieve the Goat who encouraged us to keep healthy by thinking about our diet and exercise
Primary 1 and 2 also had fun with the Christmas photo booth props. Even the Classroom Assistants joined in too!!
Primary 2 have been busy measuring using non standard units. They even measured using marshmallows!
Primary 2 have been making sets of up to 20 objects.

Pancake Day Fun
In Numeracy Primary One have been combining sets to find the total and learning about number names
Our topic for Term 2 has been 'Castles'. Look at some of the things we have been doing.
We even visited a 'real' castle in Castlecaulfield and had great fun.....
In Art we have been having fun with 'bubble printing'.....
We have been looking at Paul Klee's painting of 'The Castle and the Sun' and we made our own version.
We also made some models of castles. Don't they look great!
P.2 have been investigating how many beads we could pick up in one hand and how many cubes it would take to fill one of our shoes. We estimated how many before counting and made a chart to show our results.
So who has the biggest hands and feet in our class then?
