P7 enjoyed a surprise farewell breakfast this morning.
Through the Ulster Scots, we have been taking part in lambeg drumming classes. The children have really enjoyed learning about the history of the lambeg drum and learning how to play it. The children will receive a certificate on completion of the course.
Here are the children's personification poems. They did lots of work on similes and metaphors beforehand to help with these. We hope you enjoy reading them.
Some of our class recently presented with their certificates and prizes for reading 100,000 words in Accelerated Reading.
Our first pupil in P7 who has achieved reading 500,000 words this year in Accelerated Reading!
Some of our P7s with a mixture of Accelerated Reading awards for reading 100,000 words, 500,000 words and achieving at least 80% in their tests in 20 books.
At the end of our Autumn Fun Week, the children were very happy to receive their goody bags.

As part of our WAU topic, The Ulster Scots, the children designed their own tartans and clan crests.

As part of Anti-Bullying week, the children wore odd socks to school to celebrate what makes us all unique.
P7 have completed snowman pictures using chalk pastels.
P7 enjoyed some fun Christmas activities making some Christmas decorations, Christmas themed gift boxes and their class party!
We enjoyed a socially distanced visit from Santa Claus.
