P7 Mrs Young

Thanks to some of our P7's for bringing in some lovely treats this week! They have been spoilt! Wishing our P7's the very best for starting their new schools.

P7 Japanese cherry blossom art

We were learning about Pop Art in class and then the children completed their own pictures.

P7 were invited to Eurospar to see how sausages and burgers are made and they also got to decorate cupcakes.  They got treated to lunch and an icecream afterwards.

The Dogs Trust came to school and visited each classroom. The P7's now want a dog to join our class!

Recently We had Birds of Prey in school. Some of the P7s were brave and got to hold some of the birds.

P7 have been learning about the Titanic as their WAU topic this term.  They have enjoyed doing pencil sketches and pictures of the Harland and Wolff cranes.

In Literacy, P7 have been doing lots of work on similes, metaphors and personification.  They have been making up their own metaphors for seasons.

P7 worked in groups to come up with words to personify different types of rain to help with writing personification poems.

The children are playing bingo to help with recognising large numbers.
