We had a fabulous trip out to Parkanaur where we took part in Woodlands Wellbeing with Mr Crabbe.  We hunted for mini beasts and explored the forest while looking for clues and taking part in discussions together. A great day out!

As part of our Money topic we visited Walkers shop where we chose some items up to £1 and had good fun scanning these and working out our change. 

We have been learning all about money. Our favourite task was using the stampers to stamp out amounts of money.

Easter cookery fun 

Pupils produced beautiful Easter artwork.

Primary 4 wrote all about Spring and used the computers and iPads to type  up their information and insert pictures. Great work! 

We have been enjoying reading ‘The Owl who was afraid of the dark’ in the lovely Spring sunshine. 

We had good fun painting

bouquets for Mother’s Day. 

Primary 4 worked together to make an addition pyramid tower using the Izak9 cubes. Well done P4.

We have been learning all about fractions.

We had such a fun morning at our Healthy Kidz Big Workout. Niall set up lots of different circuits for us and we worked hard exercising at each one.  
Big thanks for your sponsorship efforts too, we are overwhelmed with the fantastic response.

The Cookery Club made wheaten bread at the after school club.
P3/4 tasted some and it was delicious.
Some enjoyed jam on theirs too. 

The P4 girls read to us about Spring.
We heard lots of interesting information all about the season. 

P3 & 4 drew little lambs and chicks for their Easter cards… aren’t they very cute! 

Beautiful blossom trees were created by our P3 & 4 pupils. 

We have learned all about evacuation. We took on the role of an Evacuee and wrote letters home to our families. 

For World Book Day we brought our favourite book into class. We talked about why we liked it and what our favourite part was.

We enjoyed yummy homemade pancakes on Shrove Tuesday.

We have been doing lots of subtraction practice before we start learning all about  subtraction decomposition. 

We made beautiful Valentine’s cards 

Today, P4 used the Izak9 cubes to make 2 digit subtraction sums. Well done everyone!

We drew and painted ‘Spitfires’ for our WW2 art.

P3 & 4 produced excellent descriptions of their story settings.
Here are some examples of our great writing. 

We have been learning all about story settings. We used blether stations to talk about different settings with our friends. Then we wrote adjectives around some images of settings on our Interactive board. 

Our class has been enjoying our new music scheme and learning how to keep a steady beat. We really enjoyed this song and had good fun using the instruments along with it. 

We wrote all about our trip to a Palace Stables. Below are some recounts about our day in Armagh.

We had a fantastic trip to the Palace Stables to learn all about WW2. We met an American soldier and an Evacuation Officer. 

We played ‘Walk about’ to practise our formal addition when carrying ten.

Primary 4 tried out our new Izak9 cube. Their task was to use 4 cubes to make a total of 20.  They all worked well in their groups to problem solve.  Well done!

It was baking day today. We enjoyed making and eating marshmallow characters & top hats. Yum! 

We produced attractive Rudolph artwork for our Christmas display board. 

We held a 2 minute silence on 11th November at 11am to remember all those who fought & died in the war.  
We produced Remembrance Day fact files and art work too. 

Cathy from the dogs trust visited our classes. We heard about how to look after a dog correctly and what do to to keep them & ourselves safe.

Rounding and interactive games are good fun.

We were busy bees learning all about rounding.  We love using our whiteboards to play numeracy games to help us learn.

Before our half term break, P3 & 4 made yummy chocolate apples to take home. They had good fun choosing their toppings and decorating them.  I hope you all enjoyed them.

It was arts and crafts day today.
We made autumn leaves and colourful scarecrows.  


We kicked off AUTUMN FUN WEEK with yummy donuts and milkshake for our break time treat.
We have lots more treats to look forward to before half term.

We have been studying about adjectives.
Today pupils took part in ‘Show and Tell’ and brought their favourite toy into school. Lots of fantastic descriptions were used to talk about these.

P3 created beautiful Autumn tree pictures.
They used red, orange and yellow paper to show the changing colours of the leaves.

 

P4 created a spooky owl picture using oil pastels.
