P3/4

We had a fun, active morning in the hall where we worked hard sorting odd and even numbers- fantastic effort everyone!

As part of our instructions topic, we made muffin pizzas. They were delicious! We will write the step by step instructions next.

This Remembrance season, P3/4 have been learning about World War 2

Watch their video to see their Blitz artwork and hear the important facts they’ve learned about this time in history.

Lest We Forget

P3 and 4 have been busy crafting. They drew, cut out and designed their very own paper penguins for our winter wall display. They put so much effort into making cute hats and scarves for their little saddlers! Everyone was very happy with their finished, fashionable penguin. We love them and hope you do too!

Before half term we joined with the Foundation Stage class to have our Light Party! It was great fun using the light batons and balloons.  There were excellent dance moves too! A super morning!

We enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate treat Friday for a PSG fundraiser! A lovely, warm start to our day! Thank you to the PSG group and parents for your continued support!

Look at all the fabulous costumes worn for our Autumn Fun Week Dress Up Day! You all look really great! Super effort everyone!

For Autumn Fun Week we created some paper hedgehogs and made some yummy biscuits and chocolate lollies!

We made pumpkin pictures for our Autumn Wall display.

Good Relations Week

Today our P3/4 class walked to meet up with our Shared Education partner school, St. John's Primary and their Primary 3 class this morning.

It was a lovely morning filled with fantastic play and great fun as our pupils developed new friendships!

A big thank you to the staff at St. John's for hosting and for the delicious snack everyone enjoyed.

We continued our Place Value  work by using cuisenaire and HTU counters. The class worked so well throughout this task, demonstrating their fabulous understanding of this mathematical concept.

P3/4 explored place value through a hands-on activity using Polydron shapes, bean bags, and cones to represent hundreds, tens, and units. Working in groups, they used number cards to build and explain numbers, showing great teamwork and understanding. A fantastic effort from everyone—well done!

Verbs, verbs, verbs…We have been doing lots of different actions when learning all about doing words. Here we have sorted verb pictures with their matching word cards and read them out to the class.

We LOVE using the bars and ropes in PE, it is always great fun with our friends.

Look at our fabulous number work. We have been learning how to find 10 more/ 10 less and 100 more/ 100 less.

Our focus for Literacy this week has been all about nouns. We sorted nouns cards into categories of person, place or thing.  We are noun whizz kids now!!

We have been learning about numbers written as words. We all worked really hard to complete our number card challenge!

We have been working hard and learning all about alphabetical order. We enjoy using our class iPads to help us with our learning.

We have been learning about numbers before, after and between. Here we are adding 2 more and 2 less. Well done everyone!

All About Me Bears

Meet our new Primary 3 and 4 pupils.
